Dickinson Autocon Systems Pty. Ltd. Joins ZI-ARGUS Group of Companies

It is a pleasure to announce that Dickinson Autocon Systems Pty. Ltd. (DAS) has become a member of the ZI-ARGUS Industrial Automation Group of Companies and the Global System Integrators Alliance (GSIA).

DAS is headquartered in Sydney, Australia with operations throughout New South Wales and Queensland. The company has been in business for 20 years and operates under the leadership of Mr. Alan Reece, Managing Director; Mr. Harry Won, Director of Project Management; and Mr. Ken Maxwell, Director of Sales.

DAS provides services to design, build and install Industrial Automation and Manufacturing Execution Systems for a wide variety of applications from plant control equipment to corporate information technology systems. In addition to this, a full range of consultancy services are offered including feasibility, strategic studies, design specifications and validation documentation.

DAS is a major Australian system integrator for Elan software, Foxboro, Emerson, Rockwell Automation, Citect, Schneider, Wonderware, Pilz, Omron and Siemens.

DAS brings new capabilities to ZI-ARGUS in the pharmaceutical industry in which the company implements systems which comply with FDA 21 CFR part 11 requirements.

DAS has developed a quality system that has passed audit by many of the world’s leading pharmaceutical manufacturers. This is an important pre-requisite for automation systems used in the pharmaceutical industry and requires specific project execution knowledge in order to obtain compliance.

DAS has also developed its own software batching system called “Meridian” which has a widespread installed base in Australia, specifically in the construction, dry powder, chemical, food, and fertilizer industries.

DAS is the distributor for the Pacific region for Elan’s XFP MES (manufacturing execution system, a software entirely dedicated to production management of pharmaceutical, cosmetic and regulated processes) and for IBH software (soft- and hardware for Siemens programmable controllers). The company is also the exclusive Australian distributor for Hydronix (manufacturer of moisture measurement equipment and Würschum (manufacturer of metering cylinders, electronic weighers, gear pumps, complete filling lines, capping machines and metering systems).

With the addition of DAS and the existing Australian companies, ZI-ARGUS (VIC) Pty Ltd and ZI-ARGUS (W.A.) Pty Ltd., we now have excellent coverage of Australia and can well serve this important market in all major geographical regions.
